Lenco International has been designing signage for Holland America since 2003, and has been an ongoing contributor to its signage and graphics needs on twelve of its current vessels.  Progressively, Lenco International has redesigned all the wayfinding, room naming, informative and safety signage on each vessel, ensuring safe, informed and efficient on-board navigation for both passengers and crew. Signage and graphics designed by Lenco International for each ship, each class of ship, and their various public areas – each with their own distinct needs – include spas, restaurants, chill out, medical and entertainment areas.

Founded in 1873, the Holland America Line has a proud history as both a cargo and passenger shipping line. It was a principal carrier of immigrants from Europe to the USA until well after the turn of the century, carrying more than 850,000 people to begin new lives in the New World.  In 1895 the company offered its first vacation cruise, and today, operating solely as a premium cruise ship line, it operates fourteen ships to seven continents and carries nearly 700,000 cruise passengers a year.

Lenco International’s contribution to revenue enhancement through commercially effective signage design has been readily acknowledged by Holland America.
